We were invited out to Jessica’s parents house last night for supper and I decided to scan the ultrasound photos of Small Fry. I’m posting the best of the ones we scanned.

This is the first ultrasound image we have of the Small Fry from back on November 26, 2007.

Small Fry's First Ultrasound Photo

This is proof that he’s a boy:

Two pictures of Small Fry’s face in 3D. The first one shows some of his left hand, and the second one shows his left hand really well. He was trying to put his thumb in his mouth in the second photo.
It's A Boy! (For Sure) Small Fry's Face

I feel guilty for not writing about our little man as much as we did America, but it seems like every time we go to the doctor’s office, we’re told something that scares us to death and worries us until the next appointment.

At our January 4th appointment we were told he had Choroid Plexus Cysts in his brain. We had never heard of Choroid Plexus Cysts before, and the doctor gave us a scare by mentioning Trisomy-18 although the little man had no other signs of problems. We worried ourselves sick about this until we went to the next appointment with Dr. Veloudis. The next ultrasound we had was this past Monday when we found out the cysts were gone (thank God) and that the little man was growing normally. However, the ultrasound tech found an abnormal S/D ratio and the doctor suggested we go back to a specialist to see if they what they thought about the S/D ratio. We didn’t ask enough questions about the implications of an abnormal S/D ratio, so we worried ourselves sick about it, and we ended up scouring the Internet for information about abnormal S/D ratios. Needless to say it did nothing but worry us more because all we could find were technical documents that we didn’t understand. So on Thursday we went to the specialist and they did a full ultrasound like the one at Dr. V’s on Monday, and they didn’t find anything wrong with the S/D ratio. It was completely normal! I can only say that this was yet another prayer answered for us. I’ve been worried several times throughout this pregnancy, and God has always taken care of things to keep our little man safe.

Please continue to pray for our little man, “the Small Fry”. We know God is in control, as always, but prayer is always important.

“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”Philippians 4:6
