I just sat down here to write a post and discovered that our blog posts have fallen off quite a bit since November. We had quite a few posts at first, but when November came around, it fell to one or two posts a month. I think this is due to us being complacent after making it through the first trimester. Anyway, I’m going to try to do better about posting on here, and hopefully Jessica will make a better effort to do the same.

We were pretty excited on Sunday when Jessica looked at PregnancyWeekly.com and saw the following:

This is day number 212 and you’re 30 weeks pregnant!
You have 68 days or 10 weeks left, and are 75.0% of the way there.
Baby’s age since conception is 198 days or 28 weeks. You are due on 4/22/2007.

WE’RE 75% OF THE WAY THERE! It really does seem hard to believe that we’ve made it into the third trimester. It won’t be long and Rube will be here!

We found out that Rube (that’s what I call her now, just so you know) is in the 74 percentile as far as her size and weight goes. I had no idea what the ultrasound tech was talking about when she said this, but she explained it to me like this: “Out of 100 babies at the same point in the pregnancy as Rube, only 26 would be bigger than Rube.” Sound like Rube might be a 10-pounder like me, or maybe an 11-pounder like my sister. We got to see Rube’s face a little better on this last ultrasound. We saw her yawn, blink her eyes, and we even got a really good look at her profile. We have the pictures, and we’ll get them on here eventually (another sign of complacency… we would have already had those pictures on here if we were like we were before).

We also found out that Jessica’s blood pressure may eventually cause her to be put on bed-rest. Her blood pressure was 150/98 with a 104 pulse when we were at the doctor’s office that day. That’s pretty high, and I think the doctor had pretty much given us fair warning that bed-rest was imminent.

We have the nursery finished now (I think/hope). Jessica took some pictures, and I’m putting them up here on the blog for everyone to see. Click on the thumbnail-size images to get the full-size image:

Looks like she has enough clothes to last her through 1st grade at least. A girl can never have too many clothes. I am so thankful that the Lord has blessed you and sooo glad Sue will experience being a grandparent, she just needs about 4 more, so Chris you better get busy! LOL
