I am a member of the Pregnancy Weekly forums and each time I log in they give me a daily update. For example today they told me that I’m on day number 65 and I’m 9 weeks pregnant! I have 215 days or 31 weeks left, and I am 22.5% of the way there. I always ignore the parts before the percentage part and just focus on that. What a unique way to think for the long 9 months. I have watched it go from 8% to 12% to 18% to today at 22.5%. It makes my weeks seem shorter. I also like that they tell you what’s going on week by week. In the 9th week the update says, cartilage and bones begin to form, the basic structure of the eye is well underway and the tongue begins to develop. The intestines start to move out of the umbilical cord and into the abdomen as the body grows and makes room. The fingers and thumb have appeared but are short and webbed.
When I think about the changes that are taking place I am amazed. To think that this started as 2 cells and expanded and kept expanding and then in just 7 days there was a fetus and in 7 more days there was a heart beating and in 7 more days there are arms and legs. Now a week later there are fingers and bone cartilage and even the tongue, now that’s amazing!
Jessica & Kevin, I know I have probably told you this, but I am so glad that God has seen it in his wisdom to give you this precious gift. I love you and will always be praying for you.
